A man's body was found Monday morning along a walking path in Southern Pines, police said.
Posted — UpdatedSOUTHERN PINES, N.C. — A man's body was found Monday morning along a walking path in Southern Pines, police said.
The body of Robert Barry Burns, 54, of Laurens, S.C., was found at about 10:50 a.m. in the 700 block of West Iowa Avenue, police said.
Police said an autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday to determine the cause of death, but they said they are investigating the case as a suspicious death.
