Body found in Spring Lake

Spring Lake, N.C. — Authorities in Cumberland County are investigating the discovery of a male body found in a wooded area in Spring Lake.
The body was discovered Tuesday evening near North 1st and Johnston streets.
Further details were not available, and a Cumberland County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman could not say if the death was a result of a homicide or natural cause.
