Body Found in North Raleigh Park

A man's body was found Monday night at Cedar Hills Park in north Raleigh.

A group of children discovered the body at around 8 p.m., police said. The kids were at the park for football practice.

Authorities said the body is that of a 43-year-old white male, but his identity is not yet known. The body has been taken to the state Medical Examiner's Office in Chapel Hill.

An investigation into his cause of death was ongoing. Police did not label the death as suspicious.
