Bladen County deputies arrest man on drug charges near school

Deputies with the Bladen County Sheriff's Office arrested and charged a man after he was involved in an undercover drug purchase at his home, which is near a school.

ELIZABETHTOWN, N.C. — Deputies with the Bladen County Sheriff's Office arrested and charged a man after he was involved in an undercover drug purchase at his home, which is near a school.

David Neil Robinson, Jr., 51, of 223 Bladen Lakes School Road in Elizabethtown, was arrested after a search warrant was executed at his home on Wednesday. The home is near Bladen Lakes Primary Elementary School. Residents had complained to the sheriff's office about drug sales taking place at the home. An undercover drug purchase was made from the residence before a search warrant was executed.

A search of his home found 14 individually packaged bags of crack cocaine, a bag of loose cocaine, three individual bags of marijuana and $1,432. Robinson was placed in the Bladen County Detention Center under a $76,000 bond. His charges include:

  • One count of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine
  • One count of manufacture cocaine
  • One count of felony possession of cocaine
  • One count of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana
  • One count of manufacture marijuana
  • One count of maintaining a dwelling to sell and controlled substance
  • One count of possession of marijuana paraphernalia
  • One count of possession of drug paraphernalia
