Blackberry Smoke cancels Raleigh show after member tests positive for COVID-19

Southern rock band Blackberry Smoke has canceled their Tuesday night show in Raleigh after a member tested positive for COVID-19.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Southern rock band Blackberry Smoke has canceled their Tuesday night show in Raleigh after a member tested positive for COVID-19.

The band was scheduled to play at Red Hat Amphitheater with The Allman Betts Band and The Wild Feathers. Guitarist Paul Jackson is recovering from COVID-19.

Two crew members also tested positive for COVID, according to a post on the band's Instagram page. Blackberry Smoke also had to cancel shows in Baltimore and Jacksonville, Florida.

"Unfortunately we have to add Raleigh, NC @redhatamphitheater to the list of canceled dates. Thank you for the outpouring of support for Paul Jackson. He is doing well, but he needs a little more time. We have also had 2 members of our crew test positive for Covid-19 they are resting at home. We will be in Cincinnati, OH on Thursday for our Spirit of the South Tour stop at @pncmusicpav and plan to continue our shows from there as scheduled."

The band said refunds will be honored for those who bought tickets.
