Billboard prompts multiple 911 calls from concerned Wilmington drivers

One concerned driver told 911 dispatchers that a man was “hanging off the bottom of a billboard by his arms” after seeing an unusual advertisement in Wilmington.

All Above Roofing went above and beyond to grab the attention of customers in the city with a billboard featuring a roof, ladder and life-like mannequin that appears to be holding on for dear life.

Dispatchers said they’ve fielded several calls from worried drivers, including one from a woman who insisted it was a real person.

The roofing company has not commented on the billboard.
