Biden to visit Raleigh community center to encourage COVID vaccination efforts

RALEIGH, N.C. — The White House announced on Sunday that President Joe Biden planned to travel to Raleigh on Thursday to encourage coronavirus vaccination efforts in North Carolina.

Sources told WRAL News that the president will visit Green Road Community Center in north Raleigh, which is in an area where only 36 percent of people age 12 or older are vaccinated.

During his trip, Biden plans to highlight the ease of getting vaccinated, as well as mobilize grassroots vaccine education and outreach efforts.
