RALEIGH, N.C. — Two-time Newbery Medalist and best-selling author Kate DiCamillo will visit Raleigh in January 2020 to talk about her new book "Beverly, Right Here," which comes out in September.

Presented by Quail Ridge Books and NC State Friends of the Library, the event includes a presentation from DiCamillo, along with a chance to get a book signed by her.

DiCamillo is, of course, the author behind a variety of picture books, chapter books and novels for children, such as "The Tale of Despereaux," "Because of Winn-Dixie," "Flora & Ulysses," and the Mercy Watson series.

Tickets to the event set for 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 11, are $18.99. Your ticket includes the purchase of her latest book. Adults must purchase a ticket, but kids ages 14 and under get in for free as long as they're with an adult with a ticket.

The program will take place at the Hunt Library on the campus of NC State, 1070 Partners Way.

More information and details are on the event's Eventbrite page. If you want to go, I recommend acting fast. Tickets will sell out of this pretty quickly. (Refunds are offered up to 30 days before the event.)
