The "Works" on 4th of July - Raleigh's fireworks celebration has moved this year from the state fairgrounds to downtown. The Fayetteville Street Mall area will be rocking from noon to 10 p.m. with beer and wine tastings, bands, BMX bike stunt shows, eating contests, street entertainers and a kids zone. The fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.
Fireworks illuminate the sky over Booth Amphitheater.
July 4th Celebration at Koka Booth Amphitheatre  This celebration features patriotic performances and music combined with family-friendly activities, including watermelon and Lumpy's ice cream eating contests. Gates open at 3 p.m. The North Carolina Symphony takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks will immediately follow the concert.

Festival for the Eno
Festival for the Eno - This event celebrates the nature, culture and history of the Eno River Basin. It is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 4 and continues this weekend. Expect live music and dance, a craft show, local food vendors, environmental education for kids, canoeing, a sustainable living expo and more.
Fireworks explode over Fayetteville Street to end the day-long Raleigh Wide Open event.

Durham Bulls Athletic Park hosts game and fireworks - Spend July 4 watching the Durham Bulls take on the Norfolk Tides. The game starts at 6:05 p.m. and following the game there will be fireworks. If you don't want to go to the game, that's OK because the gates will open after the 7th inning for you to come in for free. The fireworks are expected to start around 9:30 p.m.

This last event is not in the Triangle, but definitely worth attending if you can make the trip.

Fort Bragg's July 4th Celebration - This annual event features music, a parachute freefall demonstration, a flag ceremony and fireworks. This year,  Tyler Hilton, Natalie Stovall and Gloriana will perform in concert.
