A three-year-old girl is being treated for her injuries at WakeMed Hospital after being hit by a car Sunday, according to the Johnston County Sheriff's Office.

<b>BENSON, N.C.</b> — A three-year-old girl is being treated for her injuries at WakeMed Hospital after being hit by a car Sunday, according to the Johnston County Sheriff's Office.

The girl was struck at 325 W. Harnett St. in Benson around 2 p.m. Authorities said the crash was not a hit-and-run, but would not release further details. 

The toddler's condition was unknown Sunday evening. It wasn't clear whether charges would be filed.
