Benson home destroyed in fire, six people displaced
Four adults and two teenagers are displaced because of the fire.

BENSON, N.C. — A fire in Benson on Monday night forced six people and a dog from their home.
Firefighters got the fire under control in about 30 minutes.
Fire investigators are still trying to figure out what destroyed the home on West Parrish Drive.
Officials said one firefighter had a minor steam burn on his hand and was check out by EMS.
A dog was taken to the vet for smoke inhalation.
The American Red Cross is currently helping the four adults and two teenagers displaced by the fire.
