Before the story airs: Have energy-efficient windows? There's a glaring problem

A viewer's email quickly got my attention. Parts of her SUV were melted by a reflection from windows in her home? I thought, really? How is that even possible? But her pictures proved it.

Then, the more we started investigating, the more problems we found. Entire neighborhoods here in our viewing area and across the country have this same problem – from vehicles to home siding, sunburns, even fires.
