RALEIGH, N.C. — Beer and arcade games seem like a match made in heaven. Who doesn't love a good game of Pac-Man?
The Beercade, unveiled last week, combines both - arcade gaming and beer. The coin slots have been replaced with taps so when you win, you get a beer.
The first Beercade game out there? Big Boss Brewery's The Last Barfighter. Players choose one of five characters that represent Big Boss' year-round brews: Hell’s Belle, Bad Penny, Angry Angel, Blanco Diablo and High Roller.

The Flash-based game features the characters battling it out in a biker bar for three rounds. They will be doing basic fighting moves and a few unique attacks like fire throwing, unicorn horn impaling (ouch) and butt slaps. The best player of the three rounds wins a sample of beer.

Sound like fun?

Well, you can try the machine out on Wednesday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Big Boss during a special event to raise money for Camp Kesem, an organization that empowers college students to make a difference in the lives of children affected by a parent’s cancer.

The game and the machine itself were created by McKinney advertising agency. We will be chatting with the creators on Wednesday so stay tuned for more on how they created this unique game.
