Battle in Bay 7 returns to raise money for schools

Durham, N.C. — The Battle in Bay 7, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, will kick off on Wednesday at American Tobacco in Durham. All of the teams are from local companies playing on behalf of a local public school.
The first place team will win $2,500 to a school of their choice. $1,500 will go to the second place team's school. The prize money will directly benefit the winning schools' athletic departments.
The event is free and open to the public. Games will be played all day Wednesday through Friday, with the championship game taking place at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
The event is sponsored by NC Amateur Sports, Tyler's Restaurant & Taproom, and the Atlantic Coast Conference.
