This contest is over. Congratulations to our winners momto2jps and dupreemomma2! Check your emails if that's you!
I have a little back-to-school contest today featuring a product created by a couple of moms who were tired of seeing things with negative images, such as "boys are stupid" and "I hate homework" peddled to kids.
The two came up with Lunchbox Love, based on the age-old tradition of placing heartfelt notes in a child's lunch box. The credit-card sized notes come with cute designs and positive phrases such as "I love spending time with you" or fun facts like "Did you know - A dragon fly has a life span of 24 hours."
You can put them in the lunch box, backpack or under the pillow. There's also a line for teens and tweens and your girlfriends. The cards are sold at retailers such as Pottery Barn Kids, Toys R Us, Learning Express and Michaels or online at sayplease.com. (Use the promo code in the image above to get 10 percent off).
Of course, two lucky winners can win a set of the cards right here on Go Ask Mom. You'll get six, 12-card cases, including the set for tweens and teens and for your girlfriends.
What do you need to do to enter? One or both of the following ...
1. Like WRAL Go Ask Mom on Facebook.
2. Answer the following question in the comments below: Would your kids prefer to buy or bring their lunch to school?
This contest ends at noon Aug. 23. Two winners will be picked at random from all entries. The winners' user names will be posted on this post by 9 p.m. Aug. 23 and, if possible, an email will be sent to the winners. We'll also post an announcement on the WRAL Go Ask Mom Facebook page that the winners have been chosen. The winners must respond by noon Aug. 26 or a runner-up will be selected. Good luck!
