Many of the jobs I’ve worked have been jobs I really loved.I love working in television. I adored working with dogs and teaching kids to swim. I’ve also thoroughly enjoyed working in restaurants and bars.
Over the years, though, I’ve learned we can all get frustrated from time to time even doing things we really like to do.
That’s why our house feels so different this week. My hubby got a new gig and for the first time in a while he seems really, really happy to go to work!
It’s amazing how much work impacts everyday life. Sometimes, when things go wrong, it is too easy to bring that baggage home like taking a load of laundry home from the dorm. You gotta do it – but it’s heavy and it STINKS! And I’ll be the first to admit…I do dream about work every now and then.
But now that my baby is doing something that makes him happy, I look at it as a positive turning point for us both. I’m not sure how much our journey to start a family had to do with it. I suppose it could have been nothing at all…or it could have been the thing that pushed him to make a change. But our whole household has a different feel – and I Iove it.
Though, that could also have a little something to do with the fact that his Butler Bulldogs are still in the fight for a championship, too!
