The Babies "R" Us stores in the region are launching a new seminar series aimed at connecting expectant and new parents with local resources and support.

Here's what's scheduled by location with descriptions provided by Babies "R" Us:

Babies "R" Us, 201 Crossroads Blvd., Cary
  • 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Jan. 7, Breastfeeding 101: The Basics of Breastfeeding. An informational seminar hosted by Bonnie Reid, MSW, LCCE, IBCLC of Western Wake Pediatrics, PA. She addresses what to expect, common concerns and support options in order to help you be successful in providing your baby with the best source of nourishment. Includes a nursing essentials raffle. 
  • 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Jan. 14. Third Trimester Pain Management: A Midwife’s Approach. Hosted by Jualeah Early, CNM, MSN of Women’s Health Alliance, PA Midwifery. She explores what to expect in your third trimester, and pain management. Know your options for having a positive birthing experience and get to know the team that can make it happen. Includes gift basket raffle. 
  • 9 a.m., Jan. 19, Plan & Scan Registry Workshop. Learn all about registering for baby products with the help of the Babies "R" Us team.  A light breakfast will be served.

She'll explore what to expect in your third trimester and pain management. Know your options for having a positive birthing experience and get to know the team that can make it happen. Includes a gift basket raffle.
  • 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Jan. 14, Buckle Up & Boogie: A Car Seat Workshop. Informational seminar hosted about the safety requirements and recommendations associated with picking a car seat.
  • 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Jan. 29, Breastfeeding 101: The Basics of Breastfeeding. Informational seminar hosted by Women’s Health Alliance, PA Midwifery as they address what to expect, common concerns and support options to help you be successful in providing your baby with the best source of nourishment. Includes a nursing essentials raffle.

  • 9 a.m., Jan. 12, Plan & Scan: A Registry Workshop. Get your registry mysteries solved by the store's Personal Registry Advisor, while you discover the baby-care essentials. Light breakfast included.
  • 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Jan. 20, Writing a Birth Plan: A Midwife’s Approach. Informational seminar hosted by Leigh Ann Joel, BSN, CNM Women’s Health Alliance, PA Midwifery. She'll explore what to expect in your third trimester and pain management. Know your options for having a positive birthing experience and get to know the team that can make it happen.
  • 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Jan. 27, 10 Benefits of Selecting a Doula. Informational seminar hosted by Michelle Jones of
Tranquil Transitions on what a doula can do for you.
