FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. — A Fuquay-Varina woman whom police say was killed by her boyfriend died from a gunshot wound to the head, according to an autopsy report released Friday.

Jammie Shatel Street, 30, suffered from three gunshot wounds – one to the left side of the head, the left arm and upper abdomen, the report states.

Street was shot Oct. 7 after she dropped off her children at a church day care in Fuquay-Varina.

Police arrested her boyfriend, Daniel Jerome Montgomery, and charged him with first-degree murder.

Relatives of the couple have said they were not aware of any difficulties between the two, but police said Montgomery had been charged at least twice with domestic assault and domestic trespass in cases involving Street.

He remains in the Wake County jail without bond.
