Autopsy: Firefighter died of heart attack

— A Raleigh firefighter who was found dead in his home in June died of a heart attack, according to an autopsy.

George Crocker, 32, was a senior firefighter with the Raleigh Fire Department and volunteer fire chief of the Pine Level Fire Department.

He was found dead at his Johnston County home on June 22. The autopsy report listed the cause of death as cardiac arrhythmia secondary to cardiomyopathy.
