Authorities searching for clues after 2 shot in Zebulon

Authorities were questioning a person of interest after two people were shot Sunday afternoon in Zebulon, officials said.

ZEBULON, N.C. — Authorities were questioning a person of interest after two people were shot Sunday afternoon in Zebulon, officials said.

The two victims, who were not identified, were rushed to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, a spokesman for the Wake County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies were called to 6413 Dealous Drive in Wendell around 3 p.m., authorities said.

When they arrived, they found the two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Authorities said a person has been questioned in connection with the shooting but no information about an arrest was publicly disclosed.

A motive for the shooting has not been released.
