BENSON, N.C. — Authorities in Benson have lifted a boil water advisory issued for residents in parts of the town.

Officials said Monday that residents along N.C. Highway 242, Dogeye Road and Oak Park Drive should boil their water. The order was lifted at about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Town officials said all necessary water tests are complete and the water is safe to use.
