FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office has requested that parents participate in a voluntary curfew for trick-or-treating activities this Halloween.

Children who plan to trick-or-treat on Oct. 31 should begin at 6 p.m. and end door-to-door visits no later than 8:30 p.m., officials said.

Sheriff’s deputies will patrol neighborhoods in an effort to provide safety for children participating in the celebration.
