FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help in finding a 31-year-old woman who has been missing since March 8.

Detectives said Friday that Michelle Lynne Powell recently suffered a stroke and is paralyzed on the left side of her body. As a result, she has an unusual gait.

Her family told detectives they are worried because Powell doesn't have her medications with her, and it is unusual for her not to contact them every day.

She is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs about 145 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Powell was last seen at a home on Bangle Street in Fayetteville. She was wearing a pink shirt, pink jogging pants, white tennis shoes and a black coat.

Anyone with information about Powell is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 910-323-1500.
