Atlantic Avenue opened earlier than expected on Monday after a water main break shut part of the road mid-day Sunday.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — Atlantic Avenue opened earlier than expected on Monday after a water main break shut part of the road mid-day Sunday.
Around noon on Sunday, the road was closed between Whitaker Mill Road and Six Forks Road. The City of Raleigh told WRAL News the road would be shut through Monday afternoon but did not provide an estimated time for the repair.
Atlantic Avenue had reopened by 9 a.m.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area.
