The family of an Atlanta police officer who was shot in the face during an ambush last week says he is recovering in the hospital. 

One brother is a medical student, the other in Atlanta police officer and member of the United States Army Fuck! And quantity are hardworking brothers pursuing an american dream backed by their mother as immigrants. We are grateful for the opportunities that we have here. So both my brother and I want to contribute back to the country and the community. Even though we choose different career pathways, we have the same reason for two of the things that we do to help people and to serve the community. Fuck says his brother became an Atlanta police officer because he's always been someone who helps others and now fuck their family and others are stepping up to help officer TY. He's recovering in the hospital after a gunman ambushed him at a midtown Atlanta apartment complex last Wednesday, shooting him in the face and badly injuring him. Fuck says his brother's co worker was the one who first told him about the shooting. Once I asked for further details. It was shocking and um, I can never forget that moment. I still remember every details. The fact that he's still alive is a miracle. Officer ties family is encouraged by his progress with recovery. But Fuck says a full recovery will take time. He can emulate a little bit um but he still has some dizziness and um problems associated with the fact that there is still a bullet in the head. But fuck says the endless support from a. P. D. Police chief, Rodney, Bryant mayor keisha, Lance bottoms and their extended family gives the family strength and shows what kind of hero his brother is. It is a very chi hardworking person.

<p>I'm meteorologist, Amy Wilmoth, here in the WRL severe Weather Center, we've had some heavy rain roll through the area today. That's going to be moving out overnight tonight. But then we'll have another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms for Wednesday. That will be mainly in the afternoon and evening. It's certainly been an unsettled day. We went with a 100% chance for rain today and we have certainly seen that materialize, but things will settle down overnight tonight and we should get a little bit of a break. It should be mainly cloudy for the morning commute on Wednesday. It's likely going to be dry just as shower possible, but shouldn't be a big deal. And then heading into the afternoon, we'll have some scattered storms. We do have a level one risk for the entire area tomorrow in the evening, storms will be possible and some of those could be severe. The biggest threats with any storms that do form tomorrow would be some damaging wind gusts and some heavy rain and the potential for some localized flooding. A look at the rain chances for Wednesday. It's only a slim chance for rain the first half of the day, only about a 20% chance for rain after lunchtime is when we start to see those numbers go up. It's about a 50 to 60% chance late in the afternoon, early in the evening and then a 70% chance for showers and storms at six and seven o'clock tomorrow evening. So we can take a look at this with futurecast, the heavy rain moving out overnight tonight and it should be fairly quiet late tonight and overnight tonight as well. And then Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. it's cloudy. We might have a stray shower or a few sprinkles and that would be about it. And then when we get to lunchtime, we'll start to notice the activity developing, especially in our southern counties. And as we get into the afternoon and evening, we'll have scattered showers and thunderstorms moving through and any storms that do could become severe. And again, the biggest threat would be some damaging winds. So unsettled weather again, Wednesday, especially the second half of the day. And then we have a couple of quiet days. Only a 20% chance for rain Thursday and Friday with highs in the low eighties. Friday night storm chances go back up to a 50% chance. We'll have some scattered storms Saturday and a few isolated storms possible. On Sunday, we're back to some drier weather on Monday and Tuesday.</p>
