At least 2 apartments hit by bullets in downtown Raleigh

At least two apartment homes were hit by bullets early Wednesday morning near downtown Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — At least two apartment homes were hit by bullets early Wednesday morning near downtown Raleigh.

Officers with the Raleigh Police Department responded to an an apartment building along the 400 block of Dorthea Drive, at Heritage Park apartments, around 12:30 a.m.

Officials confirmed that at least two apartments on the first floor of the building were hit. There were people inside both apartments, but no one was injured.

WRAL Joe Fisher counted at least 12 bullet holes in one of the apartments.

Police have not released suspect information.
