Good morning. I'm meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner. We are looking at scattered thunderstorms in the deep south. As a matter of fact, you can see some ongoing severe thunderstorm warnings and tornado warnings there across parts of Mississippi. There is a level three risk for severe storms down in, uh, in the, in all along the Gulf coast area in the deep south for us. You can see that big h sitting over us. We're looking at high pressure today that's going to keep things nice and dry, pleasantly cool this morning and nice and warm this afternoon. But our humidity stays low ahead to tomorrow and we move into a much wetter pattern. You can see here on Futurecast, some showers in the morning. There is 6 a.m. We'll pause it again at nine. Even at nine or 10, we could have a few rumbles of thunder coming through with that system, that cold front lifting up across our area and we'll continue to see some scattered showers on through the afternoon and evening. Wednesday. Same story. We're going to just see this system sitting here over us for a good chance of rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, Tuesday. We also have a level one risk in our southern counties. So that's going to be more county County, Cumberland and Sampson County damaging winds being the biggest threat that we'll see. It's a gorgeous start out there this morning. We see a pretty sunrise all across the region with mostly clear skies and cool temperatures too. Temperatures are in the forties and fifties as you're heading out the door. But we'll climb into the mid seventies this afternoon. Look at that 43 in Roxboro, 52 in Fayetteville. Our warmest spots are right in the triangle Durham and Raleigh at 57 but it feels very comfortable. 81 in Raleigh, 80 in Durham, 83 in Fayetteville for this afternoon, humidity stays low, but we will see increasing clouds ahead of that next system. You see the blue shaded area, that's where temperatures are below normal and we'll feel that we start to see much closer to normal temperatures as we get through the next few days. Tomorrow is going to be cool over the weekend. We'll climb back into the mid 80 s. We don't have any extreme heat and our forecast no nineties in our forecast for the next seven days. It feels fantastic stepping out the door today, we're way down at refreshing in terms of our muggy meter. But look what happens starting tomorrow. We're going to see tropical moist air moving in and so we'll feel that all the way into the weekend and I mean, it is that time of year, we were pretty lucky this weekend to end up with some nice low dew points. Tomorrow will be cooler. 73 we're going to see rain for a good bit of the day. And then again on Wednesday, Thursday looks dry, but Friday and Saturday, we're back to a chance of showers and thunderstorms so we need the rain but the umbrellas make it a work out.
