RALEIGH, N.C. — Chef Ashley Christensen has suspended in-house dining in all of her restaurants amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The chef made the announcement via Instagram.

"We have suspended in house dining in our restaurants today, for the safety of the community and to give our leadership team time to formulate a plan for the path forward. To say that this is a difficult time would be an understatement. We are working hard with government officials to get support for our industry and to navigate this with thoughtfulness and care for our teams and our future," Christensen wrote.

Beasley's and Chuck's will offer take out orders through 8 p.m. Monday. Orders can be placed in-person or by phone. Poole'side Pies will offer takeout from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Orders can be placed in person, online or by phone.

Poole's Diner, Death and Taxes and Fox Liquor Bar were closed starting Monday.

Christensen has joined the growing list of business owners temporarily closing dining rooms. NanaSteak in Durham and Mofu Shoppe in downtown Raleigh have also closed. Mofu plans to start offering curbside takeaway starting Tuesday.
