RALEIGH, N.C. — New renderings released this month show what Scott Crawford's much-anticipated downtown Raleigh restaurant will look like.

Jolie, which is expected to open in August, is named after Crawford's daughter.

"Our daughter, Jolie, is the inspiration for this beautiful, lively French bistro,” Crawford told WRAL News last year. “It’s always been part of our plan to bring this iconic restaurant experience to Raleigh."

Jolie, opening at 620 N. Person Street next to Crawford and Son, will include an open kitchen and cozy indoor seating and a 25-seat covered rooftop.

"We’re excited because we believe this classic French restaurant experience is essential to a thriving neighborhood, and here, we’ll be able to revisit time-honored dishes and modernize using new techniques, too," Crawford said.

Jolie is not ready to announce menu items, but the restaurant will have an all-French wine and beer list.

In June, Crawford announced Madison Tessener as Jolie's chef. Tessener, a Raleigh native, worked at several top restaurants in Charleston before returning to the Triangle.

Jolie will be open six nights a week for dinner.
