As governor pushes vaccinations, protesters decry mandating shots
A group is planning on protesting a vaccine mandate for healthcare workers in downtown Raleigh on Wednesday.
Yeah. No. Okay. Mhm. Mhm. Yeah. Yeah look out. Yeah. Mhm. Oh yeah. Right. Yeah. Mhm. Yeah. Yeah. Mhm Black Sea Given the Master before. Give me all not only do we need to fight? Okay. But Right. Oh quite this way. Okay. Mhm. Lot. Wait we are yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah that happening now. Right outside the governor's mansion, you can see a group protesting a vaccine mandate for health care workers. Their message next. Okay. We are just failed. No, we are. Yeah. Front we know what's going on. We say no. Okay. Thank you. Do not understand how there was conditioning. Yeah. The other day when I was the one. All right. Yeah. I'm not sure. But yeah. We also we're talking Yes. I've got to also it sounds like there's some nurses I talked to about four people in the healthcare industry and then it's also assembly. There are several dr I think four more nurses. Six. So I'm just saying What's that Alexis? Yeah. Yes. Yeah, we'll be straight like straight life, yep. And then I'll just tag out with some of the incentives. It will be quick or I'll keep it within the time limit. Yeah. I would say drop the get rid of sound, Drop the sound and the video straight live. Right. What? Right Burn. No, 80 people over here. They're lined up with signs saying my body my choice. They've got t shirts as well saying stop the mandate. Some of the people here, I've spoken with our nurses who say if it comes down to it, they would rather walk away from their job than get the vaccine. And for some, that deadline comes in october when they'll have to make that decision. So the plan is to send a message over here to Governor cooper and then walk over to the legislative building over on Halifax small. And that's where they'll give some speeches about what they've learned through this whole process here. So that's the plan right now. Get out there outside the governor's mansion. So while all this is happening, the state is offering some incentives that start today to get the vaccine. If it's your first shot in certain locations, in certain counties, you can get $100 cash card or $25 if you drive someone to get their vaccine. So we'll have a list of the places you can get those incentives over on WRL dot com will continue to monitor things here outside the governor's mansion as this group protests, the vaccine mandate for health care workers, Casey Cunningham loose. We're live in Raleigh. Yeah. Thank you. Mhm. All right. Let's go ahead and shoot our look lives. We'll tell you everything. You don't leave you alone. Right. I would. You know? Yeah. Are you are you? Right okay. Can you? Right okay. Mm. What and at the time? Uh huh Yeah. What? Yeah. Wait. Yeah. Yeah. Mhm Right. Yeah. Uh huh Mhm. Mhm mm. Mhm. Yeah. Yeah. A monster but it's a lot yeah. Mhm Thank you. Um Mhm Mhm Who was that great? Yeah. People yeah correctly here our system he's yeah yeah. There we stand. Right. Mhm Mhm. Yeah. Right. It's right. Mhm. Yeah. Yeah, wow. Yeah. Yeah. Mhm. Okay. Yeah there is he human? Mhm. Yeah. No. Right. Yeah. Mhm. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Which just gives them more. Yeah. That one piece. Yeah, wow. For you. What? Yeah. Right. But there's a lot evidence you're on. That's it. Fine. I mean you talk to you real quick. I like, okay. We'll meet being remedies honest. Yeah. How are you? Oh really? Yeah. Has I actually worked pregnant in the pandemic? Yeah. Oh sure. Mhm. Yeah. Good. He's eight months old. Congratulations. He's crawling. Yeah. Scary time. Yeah. He's going to show you sure. Yeah, Congressman. Thank you so much. You're welcome. Thank you. If you could tell me your first and last standards about Sharon one A C H E R Y L M O R E. U. Also that you're a nurse. Yes. Can I just talk about why you're out here today and what you want people to know we're out here today fighting for our freedom and I like to choose. Um These mandatory vaccines are pushed on us and we were shocked at the um short amount of time. Um because adequate data has not been done. We are the research and um we're out here and we are willing to lose lose our jobs because we're going to get fired if we don't take it. Um But these people are out here voicing their opinions and are willing to put their jobs on the line to be reversed basically. Yeah. When do you have to make your decision? And what's going through our we have to be vaccinated or are exemptions have to be approved by Um October 31 for Atrium. For no von it's a different date. There's a singer, there's a september what goes through your head as you work to make that decision. Um Well I'm not going to get the vaccine. So if our approvals and at least I speak for tons and tons of people. If our exemptions are not approved, we're walking, all of us are walking and the health care system is going to be in a world of hurt. They think that we are putting our patients at risk by not getting vaccinated. Well what are they gonna do when they have no staff? What kind of, what kind of situation are you put them in then? Yeah. Um And if you don't mind me asking for your personal reasons, you know, is there a reason why you decided this isn't for me at this time or you'd rather read or because adequate data has not been done? Um We do not know the long term effects of this. This is a brand new this year vaccine. Um What about five years? Um I have heard hundreds and hundreds of stories and research and done data. I've seen data where the reactions that people are having. Um they're not being reported. Just the vaccine vaccine is being pushed and pushed and pushed and nothing about the adverse reactions are being because they say that they're so rare. But are they? Um I feel like that side is not for trade. So for me, um that's what I think about. We need more time. It's not to say in 35 years we don't get the vaccine but for now we can definitely just use all of our precautions that we can use them for the past year and a half. For sure. We talk about some of those precautions and why you think that's enough. Um we masked some of us double mask for 8, 12 hours a day. Um, we used goggles, obviously tons of handwashing, um keeping patients separated that were um either at risk or confirmed positive, those kind of things. And that worked. A lot of nurses actually got covid and they have anybody's um, that worked for them when we were right on the front lines battling this beast and all of a sudden it doesn't work now for a vaccine given to tons of nurses already and they are currently positive. So if the vaccine is not working, why are we mandated to get it and you're willing to lose thousands and thousands of healthcare healthcare workers for something that's not even working. It's a big turnout today. We got the price to see how many people know because I know how many people are passionate about this. We held a rally in Charlotte last weekend. We had over 2500 people there. It was massive and it was awesome to see people standing up for their rights willing to put their jobs on the line for sure. It's a big state. Um your message today, you're outside the governor's mansion, you're going to go to the legislative building. Who are you hoping pays attention to this message and what do you want them to know everyone, We want everyone to pay attention to this. We want them to take notice and know that we're not backing down. Um we're here to speak to our legislation and our leaders to let them know. We need them, we need their help and their support. Um many of which you have emailed and have responded back that they are completely on our side, that they just need that time and all the data to get the bills pushed through fast forward to after october 31st november. The right now the cases are going back up. There's not as many health care workers because of this. What are the hospitals and doctors, what do they look like? Um It's not gonna be pretty, it's not gonna be pretty at all. I don't know if they realize that um there is a nursing shortage right now always and people are going back into the hospital and then you have issue normal sicknesses so it's not going to be pretty, it's gonna be unsafe. Um And I hope that they are ready to face that because that's what's gonna come down to. For sure. Thank you so much. Did a great job. Any other questions? You can just let me know what happens when you have like the next protest plan. Okay sure. Absolutely. Go ahead and tell me your number non native to pop up 97 So Cheryl and I had no idea hospital system. We've got far apart. You had no idea. We haven't known each other. But this has brought us a while sitting at A. R. Y. Okay great. And you spell your last M. O. R. N. Yeah. Thank you. Yeah. Thanks for your time today. We appreciate make sure this is on. Are you here locally with? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Peaceful. Look at you see we'll get away from Jeff. Yeah. Oh yeah. Get the other distinction. That's the competition behind us so we can't show their car and then in the shot. No, I'm just kidding you can you share your message with whoever whoever you want. So I'm going to go ahead and hold this up and then let's make sure this is on. I think my mind should be on the city stuff. Just thank you so much. Yes. 123456789 10. Just start with your name for us. So my name is Maria um from charlotte north Carolina. I've been cranking Maria crank it felt for me. R A N K. Uh, common spelling for Maria. M A R I A. Yes. Perfect. I've been in healthcare for over 20 years. I've been a nurse for 15 years and we all took an oath and we really are here, not only for ourselves but for the people. And it's very sad what really is happening in our country are human rights are being taken away from us. This country is supposed to be a democracy. What we've seen and what we're seeing is not very diplomatic. If we give them right over our bodies, then what is next? Um as a health care worker, we have watched the decline of our health care system as big pharma has gotten more and more control where the healing of our population is not the focus and we've stayed silent for too long and then we really believe and the reason why all these folks are out here. Not just because our jobs but because the votes that we took his nurses and we care about our communities. We care about the american population and we think they need to know this is something that they really need to understand the media. Even our governments are not really telling us the truth about what we're experiencing. There's so much propaganda on T. V. That you can't even let us not just the pharmaceutical ass. But now it's gotten to the point where they're pitting us against one another. I don't care where you stand politically socially. It doesn't matter. We're all humans. And what we're facing right now is is very, just unsettling and scary. It's not just about us, it's about our Children, it's about our Children's Children. And if we give over the right to their bodies right now, through our consent, we don't really understand what the future is going to hold for us. But the american population definitely is being misled as being misguided, thorough information is not being provided. And we that's a part of our constitutional right to be able to have informed consent. So we really understand what we're allowing to be inoculated into our bodies. So I intend that the media really takes the people's best interests at heart and really share some things that could save our lives and actually stop this pandemic. You know, there are some ways that it could be slowed down. It could be stopped. But injecting ourselves with the virus is not gonna help and it hasn't helped thus far. They're not telling you how a lot of positives are from people who are vaccinated. They're not telling you that people are already experiencing side effects from it. The vaccine has not taken enough time to be really understood. And the shortcuts that were taken, our human bodies are really the ones suffering from that. It is the peptide in this vaccination that goes through ourselves and completely breaks it down. That's gonna lead to so many auto immune issues. There's too many people with autoimmune issues now. And if we continue to inject this and break down our systems are natural. Body systems is not going to be able to protect them. And that's when we're going to get into a serious health crisis. We already are there, but it could get worse. And we are here to give the message that people were the ones have been on the front lines. We were icu nurses who started off with three patients in a 12 hour shift. And by the end of that ship they die. Our fellow doctors, God nurses got We are on the front lines. We're not making this up. We have seen this unfold. We know the truth about it. We know how the lives are being spread through propaganda. We are not saying don't take it. If you've already taken it, we're not bashing you. We are saying you need to really understand what's going on so you can have informed consent. Thank you so much for your time. I'm gonna move with the group. Okay, Sure. Thank you. Great job. We appreciate it. Nice to meet you. Mhm. She was good. Yeah, continuing We finish this text. We got them at the start. So that's yeah. Okay. Yeah, it's a okay. I need to figure out. Okay, mm. Okay. Mhm. Yeah. Yeah.
