Artsplosure organizers announced on Wednesday that the annual arts festival in downtown Raleigh, originally scheduled to take place on May 15-16, 2021, has been postponed to October 9-10, 2021.

Artsplosure’s top priority is the safety of its participating artists, performers, vendors, volunteers, team members, and event attendees. With the current COVID-19 crisis in mind, festival organizers have decided that rescheduling is the only responsible option at this time.

“With the COVID pandemic continuing to evolve and the safety of our festival participants a top priority, we have decided to postpone our namesake festival until October 9-10, when the odds of presenting an event that lives up to our standards and our audience’s expectations should be better,” said Artsplosure executive director Michael Lowder.
