Here's your reminder that Marc Brown, author and illustrator of the Arthur series, will be at Quail Ridge Books in Raleigh at 5 p.m. Monday.

Brown has written his first book in nearly a decade - "Arthur Turns Green." He'll read from the book, answer questions and then sign books. This is free; no reservations are required. And you can even bring one book from home for him to sign. Best for ages 4 to 8. Click here for details.

And, a week later, Olympic gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi will be back in town with her book "Dream Big, Little Pig!" Best for ages 3 to 7. She also will read from the book, answer questions and sign books. You can catch her at 4 p.m. April 11.

See my earlier post for more details on these and other events at Quail Ridge.
