Art studio for kids offers classes, workshops, parties, camps, more
Nancie Norvell, a Raleigh mom of one, bought The Painted Butterfly about a year ago where she's able to pursue her love of art and working with kids.
Posted — UpdatedThe Raleigh mom of one's love for art began when she was a child. Her grandfather taught her to draw and paint. She took art classes in high school and college, though her career took her into the world of advertising and marketing.
"Its for kids," she said. "It's all for kids."
Norvell offers everything from four to six-week classes, one-time workshops and create it together classes for parents and kids. She incorporates other activities - such as ballet or yoga - into some of her workshops. And she offers programs during school holidays and some Saturdays and Sundays.
"I love being with kids," she said. "I love getting a chance to have them express themselves through art."
