An Enfield man was wounded Tuesday after an altercation with his friend.

<b>ENFIELD, N.C.</b> — An Enfield man was wounded Tuesday after an altercation with his friend.

Authorities said Wintay Montlay Lyons shot his friend, Lamonte Peterson, in the leg after an argument.

Peterson was treated and released from the hospital. It is not yet know what led to the altercation.

Lyons has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He is in jail on $20,000 bond.
