RALEIGH, N.C. — Police arrested a man Friday morning in a Thursday night shooting death near the campus of St. Augustine's College.

Edward Lee Harris, 31, was charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.

James Tony Lee, 19, was shot at the intersection of Milburnie Road and Booker Drive shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday, police said. He died at WakeMed.

Harris' status as a felon came from a conviction for second-degree murder in 1995, according to state Department of Correction records. He was released from prison in January 2006.
