FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting last week.

Devoire Nash, 22, of the 1700 block of Doyle Court, was charged Tuesday with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon in the Jan. 30 death of Maurice Williams.

Williams, 48, of Fayetteville, was found unresponsive in the road near the intersection of Ames Street and Filter Plant Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police released no other details about the case, such as a possible motive or what evidence led to Nash's arrest.

He remains in the Cumberland County jail without bond.
