Armed man robs Zebulon convenience store
Zebulon police asked for the public's help Wednesday to solve an early-morning robbery at a convenience store.
Posted — UpdatedPolice said that a man armed with a small, silver handgun walked into the Murphy USA store at 801 E. Gannon Ave. around 1:20 a.m. He demanded money from the store clerk, then left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No shots were fired in the robbery, police said, and no one was injured.
Police described the robber as light-skinned, black man, between 17 and 22 years old, and between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall. He was wearing a dark blue or black T-shirt, blue jeans with a white design on the back pockets, and black or dark blue and white Nike shoes. He also wore a black, knit hat and blue bandanna.
