Buy $100 in gift cards from Kroger and save 40 cents per gallon on fuel!

We just received a press release from Kroger about a new promo starting Sunday, 11/21.  Save 40 cents per gallon at Kroger and participating Shell gas stations when you buy $100 in gift cards. You can mix and match the gift cards as long as you have a total of at least $100. Some of the gift cards they carry include Best Buy, The Home Depot, iTunes, Macy’s, Sears, Subway, JCPenney and Chili’s.

The promotion lasts from November 21 through December 11. The 40-cent off per gallon promotion applies to a single fill-up of 35 gallons or less and can be redeemed at Kroger fuel centers and participating Shell locations through Jan. 31, 2011. If you use a 1-2-3 REWARDS® MasterCard, you save .45/gallon. The press release does state, "Some restrictions apply, so customers are encouraged to visit their local store or www.Kroger.com for more information."

Basically, if you are planning to give any gift cards mentioned above as gifts or you plan on shopping at those stores, you can get the added bonus of a gas discount when you get the gift cards at Kroger. Sounds like a good deal!
