Man found dead in Hoke County ditch

A Raeford man was found beaten to death in a ditch in Hoke County late Friday, authorities said Monday.

Hoke County Sheriff Hubert Peterkin declined to disclose where the body of Ricky Bratcher, 38, was found, noting only that deputies received a tip from an individual about a body in a ditch.
