Two Lejeune Marines killed in Afghanistan

Two Marines based at Camp Lejeune died last week in Afghanistan, the Department of Defense announced Tuesday.

Lance Cpl. Daniel G. Raney, 21, of Pleasant View, Tenn., died Friday while supporting combat operations in Helmand province. Lance Cpl. Tyler A. Roads, 20, of Burney, Calif., died Saturday also while supporting combat operations in the province.

Both men were assigned to 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force.
