A car crashed into a fire hydrant in the 200 block of Lynn Road in Durham early Thursday, temporarily creating a geyser of water.
Firefighters said the wreck happened shortly before 3 a.m. No one was injured.

Crews had mostly repaired the fire hydrant about 1½ hours after the wreck.
