Spring Lake man charged with arson

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested a man Wednesday following an early morning fire in Spring Lake that destroyed a home.

James Travis Lindahl, 26, of 1417 White Eagle Lane in Spring Lake, was charged with first-degree arson. He was being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond.

A fire was set in a bathroom of a residence at about 4 a.m., authorities said. Two children, ages 4 and 5, were in the home with their parents, but no one was injured.
