A 15-year-old boy was shot while walking in the 700 block of North Taylor Street in Goldsboro around 9 p.m. Saturday, police said.
Police Capt. Mike West said that the boy encountered a group of people, but investigators aren't sure what led to the shooting.

The teen was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital and is expected to be OK, West said.
No arrests had been made as of Sunday morning. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
