Elizabeth Edwards, the wife of two-time Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, will be speaking at a live story-telling event in Carrboro on May 7, organizers said Monday.

Edwards is speaking at the season finale event of The Monti, a Chapel Hill-Durham based organization that hosts events featuring people from the community telling personal stories in front of a live audience. The theme on May 7 is “Mothers and Fathers.”

Tickets go on sale April 19, event organizers said.
