A Durham man who was the subject of a Silver Alert was found safe Tuesday morning, Durham police said.
Willie Junior Poole, 76, was found near an apartment complex at 219 South Alston Ave. He was being checked by EMS around 11 a.m.

Durham Police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said the man who found Poole had seen his photo on the news and recognized him.
