Man sentenced for Warsaw slaying

A 19-year-old has been sentenced to more than four years in prison for his role in a July 2008 shooting death in Warsaw, authorities said Friday.

Devon Hobbs, of Warsaw, pleaded guilty Tuesday to being an accessory after the fact of second-degree murder. The charge stemmed from the death of Derrick Shonte Barden.

Barden, 18, was sitting on a car talking to his friends outside a Warsaw apartment complex when he was shot.

Jordan Guy and Ivan Wallace pleaded guilty last year to being accessories to Barden's slaying. Joleski Floyd is charged with first-degree murder in the case.
