This Saturday, it looked like Black Friday at a former Winn-Dixie supermarket in Raleigh. Crowds lined up outside, then rushed inside for the latest sale – on books.

The 2009 edition of the Wake County Public Libraries' Annual Book Sale is in the books.

Almost 17,000 shoppers purchased more than $190,000 worth of books at prices ranging from $1 to $4. The take was a $11,000 increase over last year, the county said.
