Crews inspect State Fair rides

As of Wednesday afternoon, 65 of the rides passed inspection.

State fair officials: Got the flu? Stay home — People are urged to wash their hands before and after they eat and see the animals at the N.C. State Fair.

The state Department of Labor inspected some of the more than 100 rides at the North Carolina State Fair on Wednesday.

As of Wednesday afternoon, 65 of the rides passed inspection.

Crews will work on the remaining 46 rides Thursday morning.

The fair opens Thursday at 3 p.m.
