Your best advice for handling the heat

We've all heard the news by now. Today is the day we sweat like no other. Well, at least no other day so far this year.

Record heat is on the way. I happen to be in an air-conditioned building as I'm sure many of you are as well, but I do have to leave at some point. 

And just thinking about the people working outside today makes me wish I could give them all a free day, with pay.

So what do you do on a day like this? How do you keep cool? If you don't have an answer to that...tell us about the hottest day of your life, if you can remember.
