Pedestrian reportedly hit by train in Micro

Johnston County authorities responded to reports of a pedestrian being hit by a train at a railroad crossing in Micro early Saturday, emergency dispatchers said.

CSX called dispatchers at 2:23 a.m. to report an accident involving a pedestrian and a train at a crossing at Fields and South Railroad streets. Micro firefighters, EMS and sheriff's deputies responded.

The condition of the pedestrian wasn't available.
